FAQ

Where is the closest shop to buy grocery/food?

Ermis at Samakoviou street just before the bus stop of bus 15 on your left

How is hot water/heating operated?

Hot water and heating is regulated from the main electronic sensor next to the fuse box (Efxinou Pontou Appartment) outside to the kitchen door (Aiantos 6 appart.). The heating can be regulated with the up/down buttons to likable temperature. When sensor detects a drop of more than one point it automatically turs on the heating again and again to achieve desired temperature.

When in need of hot bath you press the hot water buton once and hot water will be dispensed as soon as you open the water on the bathtub. When you finish press the function button again so no energy is spend in preserving hot water.

For any trouble or questions please call me immediately equipement is fully automated and it might need immediate fixing or calibrating.

Due to the fact that Thessaloniki hosts the largest University in Greece making photocopies is so common that most photocopier shops are opposite the Uni at Melenikou street with prices from 0,05€/page. There you can find office supplies or you can go to Plaisio or Public Megastores in the city center. You can also send fax and even find people who can write your essays for you (if in a hurry or bored)!!

Where can I find a ladder?

There is a public ladderround used by all tenants and owners in the entrance ground floor closets inside the closed cabinet just open the last cabinet from the entrance. (Efxinou Pontou) For Aiantos appartment ask for a ladder from me to borrow, I will be happy to assist you.

What is the most common coffe in Greece

I failed to point out that due to the good weather and calm attitude of Greeks there are varieties of coffes that are prepared only in Greece and nowhere else in the world! All can be ordered take away (€1-1,5) or sit (€2,5-3,5) and play 3hrs complementary free playstation (Melenikou str. caffes over and under Armenopoulou opposite Univesity). Try Fredo Cappucino or Fredo Esspresso or the more traditional Frappe with milk or not. (the coffee for the mid term exams!!)
