If you do not have ticket or are in a hury just get onboard there is bus ticket machine in the bus (blue) - be sure to have exact amount since they do not give back change!! The ticket cost +€0,1 you do not need to validate these tickets since they are preprinted with the time on them.

 

Tickets

 

There are 4 kind of ticket to choose from (you will only need the 2 first): Normal /Student discount with their passes from the University or other schools

 

1. One route ticket cost €1,0 / €0,5 (Normal /Student)

2. 70' ticket cost €1,2 / €0,6  (Normal /Student)

3. 90' ticket cost €1,5 /  €0,8 (Normal /Student)

4. 120' ticket/airport and cultural route 50 ticket cost €2 / €1 (Normal /Student)

 

Ticket bought nside the bus need not to be validatedonly tickets bought before hand need to be validated

 

Important: Always validate your ticket immediately when you get on each individual bus using the orange ticket box. i.e. going to Papageorgiou Hospital, One time in bus 15 and one time when you board bus 28. Use both ends of the ticket.

 

Monthly bus passes

 

Monthly bus passes can be bought from designated location kiosks of oasth at these locations

You need 2 colour photos and your passport to get the monthly bus pass. If you have student id you can get discount bus passes.

Monthly normal/ student €30 / €15 you can get them from -10 days before/+10 after the beggining of each month. 

 

 

Cultural route

On September 1st, 2009, OASTH launched a special "Cultural Route" (Bus No 50) to make the rich historical and cultural heritage of Thessaloniki more accessible to its citizens and visitors. The bus departs from the White Tower for a 50-minute tour around the city's main historical and cultural monuments. The tour is supported by a telematics based audio-visual material (in Greek and English), as well as by printed leaflets (also in Greek and English and soon in more foreign languages).

Unlimited travel cards (regular or discount) as well as free travel passes (for the disabled) are also valid in Line No 50

 

TAXI

 

Taxi from the airport to the house and center of the town is set at a standard fee of €20. Applications for taxi on Googleplay or Android :Βeat, Taxiplon or call these numbers to ask for a taxi.
