 Welcome to Thessaloniki!

Thessaloniki is the second largest city of Greece. With over 1 million population and more than 100.000 students in the largest University campus of the Balkans. This is why it is considered to be the most vibrant and multicultural city of the Balkans. The city is said to be a trend-setter for the whole of Greece and the capital of gastronomy in the region. 

Being a student city means you can enjoy low prices in restaurants, hairsalons, electronics, and variety of street food (pizza, suvlaki, spaggeti, chinese, salads, sandwich) that you can take away or order to be delivered at your door for free. It is also full of cafe, restaurant and bars and vibrant nightlife till the early morning. 

The city boasts of a heritage of more than 2300 years with Hellinistic - Roman- Byzantine and Ottoman momuments, churces, agora,buildings ideal for scholars of history or amateur photographers. The city was built by Alexander the Great and remained the second most important city of the Balkans due to its port till the early 1800. The city is also famous for a coastal line as it is built around Thermaikos bay and its new 20 km pathway next to the sea with museums., theatres, summer cinemas and parks.
